Stokes Alumni Event

Berkeley Township Elementary School

April 22 & 23, 2016

The Berkeley Township Education Association is sponsoring a two day trip down memory lane for all Stokes Alumni, young and old.

Friday evening, April 22nd alumni will enjoy a Stokes Presentation, a family style dinner, an animal program, or the square dance.  Saturday morning, April 23rd the event will take place in two locations; Berkeley Twp. Elementary School and the Berkeley Twp. Nature Study Building off Western Blvd.  Saturday’s activities at BTES will include archery (for 4th grade and older), Action Socialization Experiences (ASEs), the Nature Walk, and a Wildlife Activity.  The Nature Study Building will host a Bird Walk, Water Ecology, and a Barnegat Bay Program.

The Berkeley Twp. Educational and Environmental Program Foundation will be lending a hand at the event.  They will be debuting their new program; “Sponsor a Student”.  You will have the opportunity to help them reach their goal of sponsoring over 25 students for next year’s trip, Stokes 2017.  Lastly, the foundation recently started a new scholarship program in honor of Nancy Grove, a former retired school teacher from the Berkeley Twp. School District.  Nancy was among the first group to attend Stokes.  Mrs. Groves was always passionate about the Stokes program throughout her career.
