The Potter Creek Crusaders are an ecologically involved group of sixth graders at Berkeley Township Elementary School. The goal of the Potter Creek Crusader Program is to combine environmental education with community awareness. Students enhance and expand their knowledge about the relationship between the Potter Creek sub-watershed and the Barnegat Bay Estuary by hands-on experience and photographic documentation with guidance from environmental specialists and group advisors. The resulting work of the Potter Creek Crusaders is shared through publications, presentations and exhibits.

The Potter Creek Crusader Program originated in 2008 with a mini grant from the Barnegat Bay Partnership in cooperation with the Berkeley Township School District. Subsequent programs have been partially supported by the Barnegat Bay Partnership, the Little Stuff Fund, the Butler Family Foundation and others.

Did you know that the PCC webpage is linked to the Barnegat Bay Partnership site?  You can explore your own sub-watershed by clicking on a slide show by the Potter Creek Crusaders!
